15 feb European Urban Knowledge Network – EUKN
Within EUKN 15 EU Member States co-operate to exchange knowledge in order to tackle urban issues. EUKN connects European cities, urban researchers and knowledge institutes. EUKN is funded by the Member States, the European Commission and the Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. In less than a year after its launch EUKN has managed to built a knowledge infrastructure, with among other instruments the portal www.eukn.org. Now it needs a communication strategy to service the National Focal Points that have been installed in every Member State, to manage the relationship with the EC and its directorates and to invite the 10 other EU Member States to participate as well. Annelou van Egmond develops and implements the communication strategy and supports the EUKN Secretariat in its negotiations with both Dutch and European authorities regarding long term financial commitments.
